A Retrospective of the Historical Decorative Art of Polly Forcier
CURRENTLY ON EXHIBIT AT THE NORWICH HISTORICAL SOCIETY
Through October 31
The Society is pleased to present a retrospective of the career of Polly Forcier, whose hand-painted and stenciled works created in the authentic early-American style include wall stencils, japanned trays, painted furniture and hand-decorated tin. Ms. Forcier is well known to owners of older houses in the Upper Valley as the local expert in wall and floor stenciling. The works displayed in this retrospective go well beyond those forms, including also replicas of many different types of hand-decorated early American objects. Polly is a member of the The Historical Society of Early American Decoration. Her business, MB Historic Decor, offers over 700 stencils and instructional DVDs.
